"PERFORMANCE WORKSHOPS"

All actors interested in joining the upcoming Point Loma Actors 2010 Spring Workshops are invited to this fun and informative evening. Actors of all skill levels are invited to attend.
The evening will include workshop registration, warm-up exercises, cold-readings, and refreshments. If you are new to PLA, a headshot and resume would be helpful.
We will be registering for 3 exciting performance workshops:
“SPOTLIGHT WORKSHOP”
-New Actor Performance Workshop-
The “SPOTLIGHT WORKSHOP” is designed for teen and adult actors with little or no stage experience. The workshop covers theatre terminology, physical/vocal exercise, cold reading, improvisation, monologue study, script breakdown, and character motivation. The “SPOTLIGHT WORKSHOP”, is focused on the individual actor and concludes with a live stage performance for family and friends.
Day/Time: Wednesdays 7:30-10:00pm
Workshop Length: 8 Weeks
Workshop Start Date: March 3, 2010
Membership: $150
Workshop Size: Limited to 8 members.

"TO THE POINT WORKSHOP"
-Short Play Performance Workshop-
Our PLA “TO THE POINT WORKSHOP" is geared to the intermediate actor with an emphasis on performance. The “TO THE POINT WORKSHOP" covers the complete acting process, from auditions through the final showcase production via exercise, motivation, script breakdown, character development, ensemble playing, and in-depth rehearsal. The "TO THE POINT WORKSHOP" concludes with a showcase of short scenes, monologues, and one-act plays on stage in front of a public audience.
Day/Time: Wednesdays 7:30-10:00pm
Workshop Length: 8 Weeks

Workshop Size: Limited to 12 members.

“MAINSTAGE WORKSHOP”
-Feature Length Play Performance Workshop-
The Point Loma Actors “MAINSTAGE PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP” is designed for the intermediate and advanced actor with an intense focus on performance. The workshop covers the complete acting process with emphasis on the individual actor via exercise, script analysis, character motivation, ensemble playing, in-depth rehearsal and extended performance runs. The "MAINSTAGE PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP” concludes with public performances of a full length play.
Day/Time: Mon., Tues., Thurs, 7:00-10:00pm
